Up North

We made it to Michigan--bleary-eyed and exhausted, but we made it!  After a few days of rest, unpacking our little trailer, and basking in the warmth of family, we are ready to get to work.

We have a lot to do over the next few weeks: TEFL classes, Spanish lessons, and we added a new venture to our schedule: medical coding classes.  We would like to get certified to do medical coding so we can make money from the states while we are in Costa Rica.  Teaching English is great, but in Latin America it doesn't pay much.  Medical coding, on the other hand, is something we could live on pretty much anywhere in the world.  We still plan for Michael to teach English as a way to get involved in the community and culture.  We just won't have to rely on that as our only income.  Ah, money!  Why is it even an issue?? It's lame that we even have to think about it. Ugh.  Here’s a baby picture to help ease the pain:

Our girl loves being the center of attention, and the grandparents are happy to oblige. She has quite the personality, and has a remarkable ability to screech like a pterodactyl. I love that little smirk she does. She is such a joy. And really, I am so glad we are doing this whole move thing, so I can spend more time with her.
