Time Flies

I keep thinking I will have more time.  But, three and a half weeks from now we will be on our way to Costa Rica.  There are still many loose ends to tie up, and every day I feel like I’m getting a lot done, but there is still more to do.  You never really think about all the bills you pay automatically.  Or the life insurance you got years ago that you don’t even know the policy number for.  Oh, and we had to change banks. And deal with student loans. All of these things take paperwork, which takes time, and uses things like envelopes and stamps.  Weird.  I wish everything could be done online.

On top of all that Michael is finishing the TESOL certification, and working on Spanish. And I have updated our resumes.  The job search is next.

I have that feeling you get  in the middle of finals week with 5 exams, 3 papers due, and 2 projects to finish. You know that you have to prioritize, and that something might not get the attention it deserves.  But eventually everything will get done, you'll take the tests, and, pass or fail, the semester will be over. We'll be in Costa Rica one way or the other.

Meanwhile, Cassie is growing so fast I keep wondering if her clothes are shrinking in the wash.
She got this party dress for Christmas and it may not fit next week. But she sure is cute! She was a little fussy when we were taking these pictures (she'd just woken up from a nap) so it was hard to get her to smile at first.

Speaking of not having enough time... I can’t believe she is almost 6 months old.  Halfway through her baby year.  I’m trying to enjoy every moment.  All of her up times as well as her fussy ones.

She’s learning how to eat solid foods - rice cereal and sweet potato mash. She’s got the sweetest voice, and she talks/sings in her own baby language.  I wish i knew what she was saying.  Although, we’ve started some baby sign language and I’m pretty sure she can understand “milk” already.

So, here we are.  Life is cruising full-speed ahead, and we are decked out in our party dress, just happy to be alive, and going somewhere new.

  1. What a doll!! And, yes, it's impossible to think she's already six months old!! Amazing ... I know she supplies the "fun" in the middle of all the preparations ... Love, Lyn
